Neymar, 27, has been accused of raping a woman in Paris on May 15.
A leaked police report filed in Sao Paulo reveals the woman alleges that the attack took place in a hotel in the French capital.
Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar has sought to prove his innocence by posting what he says is an exchange of WhatsApp messages between the pair. According to police investigations,the unnamed woman got to know the superstar on Instagram and he suggested they meet in Paris.
The woman alleged he was ‘apparently drunk’ when he came to the hotel on May 15 to meet with her.She added that after conversations and embraces,Neymar became violent and forced Himself on her against her will.She added that since she was in another country,she couldn’t report the case so she waited still when she got back to Brazil two days later.
Speaking in Portuguese, the footballer who tried to defend himself said: “I’m very upset but from now on I’ll expose or tell all about what happened with that girl. It was an intimate thing but I have to open myself up to prove that nothing exceptional happened.
“What happened that day was a relationship between a man and a woman, within four walls, like with any couple. And the next day nothing much happened. We kept exchanging messages. She asked me for a souvenir for [her child].”
He also showed series of WhatsApp messages with the woman, including photographs of her in her underwear.
He says he had to make them public to “prove that nothing really happened”.
Neymar’s father, Neymar dos Santos, leapt to his son’s defence, telling Brazilian media that it was ‘a trap’.
